CUT UPS: Leda and the Swan

Collage using cuttings from handmade pulp painted paper, salvaged from earlier work, on a base of Khadi paper.

The myths about the Dioscuri led me to research the myths and earlier depictions of their enchanting mother and her encounter with Zeus in the guise of a swan, puzzling what meanings might emerge. It is a tale of rapture, a human desire for flight and ecstasy, or is it rapacious Zeus once again? Hands raised in glorious divine rapture or agonized surrender.
